In most cases, vinyl striping should be installed with the boat on a work rack or “on the hard” – with full access to the area to be striped. In order to install striping that is straight and without waves, it is necessary to work in lengths of 6 to 8 feet at a time. Striping on upper decks with limited access or areas that require the installer to be crawling on their knees can be difficult to get professional results and such projects are taken on a case by case basis.
